John West's future on the Josephine County Board of Commissioners will be decided by voters on Dec. 17.

The John West recall effort has been certified and a date certain has been set for a special election next month.
Josephine County Clerk Rhiannon Henkels on Friday notified West and chief petitioner Lily Morgan that enough signatures gathered by the recall campaign had been validated to force an election. She set a date of Dec. 17.
